For my musical instrument, I used a mixing bowl and five rubber bands to make a sort of guitar. While it looks simple, I spent a bit of time figuring out the sounds it would make by using different sized rubber bands and moving them around on the bowl. The shape and size of the bowl also helped determine where I was able to move the rubber bands and the sound.
